15 sprigs of fresh elderflower 2L boiled water 6L water 1kg sugar 3 lemons, peel sliced off in strips

I harvested a lot of Rosemary. I wanted to use them as much as possible. But it is also, trouble some to remove fine leaves each time of cooking. So I tried canning it with olive oil.In this video, it seems that I cut small amount of rosemary but actually I did it many times and huge amount of Rosemary fit in the glass jar.

I used to buy gardening soil. I could use it, sometimes gardening went well. Sometimes failed because of sickness or bugs. I thought this is quite regular way of gardening. But this time, I took a bag of leaf mold from the park. And I put it in the container, and put more leaves, used tealeaves and coffee. And mixed it. A month later, I started to use it for gardening. And I realized, this is very different from the soil from the stores. My plants are happier, no sickness. I don’t need extra fertilizer. 2 months later, I opened my container of soil, and surprised founding so many life, thousand of earthworms and tiny tiny worms, and mushrooms, hyphae. I found this soil is alive. This is why all my plants are healthy now. The negative thing is, I don’t know how much lives have been lost by being used for gardening.

毎年千葉の茂原の友人の田植えの手伝いをしています。 無農薬栽培で、昔ながらの方法にこだわってお米作りをされているのですが、毎日のように食べるお米なのでこのように一年に一度、お米を育てることが体験できることをとてもありがたい機会だと思います。 最近茂原には、若い方々が移住されてきて新しいレストランやカフェなどが出来始めています。 お昼は、去年できたばかりのピッツエリアのstoria(ストーリア）でランチをごちそうになりました。田畑に囲まれた場所に白いシンプルな程よい大きさの建物が建っているのが良いなと思いました。薪釜で焼かれたピザはモチモチで噛むほどに味がありとても美味しくいただきました。生地もトマトソースももちろん手作りなので、ベジタリアンでも安心でした。

河原でおばちゃんたちがたかっている樹を発見。 覗いてみると桑の実らしい。 早速次の日、用意をして桑の実を収穫に行った。 桑の実は甘さも酸っぱさも控えめで、なんとなく特徴がない。子供の頃通学路で摘んでかじったり人に投げたりして遊んでいたが、そんなに美味しかった記憶はない。 ドライフルーツにでもしてみるかー、と考えていたら、調べてみたらなんと、これは今人気のマルベリーだということが判明。 スーパーフルーツ！！ しかも買うと高いではないか。乾かす作業にも熱が入りました。
